WorldCast Systems is bringing two higher-power Ecreso FM AiO transmitters to IBC2026: a 5kW model and a new 3kW version. The mechanical design prioritises field maintenance and replacement of common modules.
Hot-swappable fans and power supplies are combined with tool-free, quick-release RF amplifier modules. Integrated functions include five-band audio processing, UECP RDS, Icecast web streaming and an APT IP decoder. The platform is designed for future µMPX support alongside APTmpX and linear MPX transport.
Technical significance
At a transmitter site, mean time to repair can matter more than feature count. Modular power, cooling and RF stages can reduce the duration and skill required for service, while integrated IP audio and processing reduce the number of external devices that can fail or need remote management.
What to watch
First deliveries of the 5kW model are planned for late 2026, with broader availability in early 2027. Broadcasters should verify efficiency, redundancy, exciter architecture, spurious emissions, remote telemetry, regional certification and whether a ten-year warranty includes the modules most likely to be replaced.
