Canon will release Camera Control Centre, a free computer application for professional video production, in early January 2027. The software is intended to cover the working life of Canon remote cameras from deployment and initial setup through colour matching, operation and maintenance. Canon says the application will also work with selected Cinema EOS cameras, professional camcorders and remote camera controllers, although available functions will depend on the connected model.

The new application combines four existing utilities. Camera Search Tool handles initial discovery and configuration; Remote Camera Control Application operates PTZ cameras and recalls presets; Multi-Camera Management Application manages firmware and device settings; and Camera Colour Matching Application detects colour charts, generates LUTs and sends them to cameras. Bringing those functions into one interface should remove several handoffs between planning, engineering and live operation.

Canon is also adding three workflow tools. FOV Calculation simulates framing before installation from the remote-camera model and subject distance. Multicam Setups stores image and other camera settings by scene for later recall. Quick Adjustments displays up to four feeds at once while an operator changes shutter speed, white balance and iris. Together, these features target repeatable studios and multi-camera rooms where preparation and matching can consume more time than shot control.

The announcement does not publish the final supported-model matrix, operating-system requirements, network protocols, device limits, user permissions or security model. It also provides no measurements for discovery time, update duration, control latency or colour-matching accuracy. The January release window and feature set are official, but production teams will still need the final build and compatibility documentation before replacing the four separate applications in an operational environment.
