ARRI has released Software Update Package 6.2.0 for ALEXA 35, ALEXA 35 Xtreme, ALEXA 35 Live, ALEXA 35 Live Xtreme and ALEXA 265 cameras. The package synchronizes focus marks created on the camera or a connected Hi-5 hand unit and can place those references beside the live image in the viewfinder and SDI status overlays.

The update also enables bidirectional Focusbug Cine RT communication through the camera's serial port. Supported Cine RT functions can reach the camera and Hi-5 without a RIA-1 or LCUBE CUB-1. Live distance measurements can appear with stored focus marks, giving operators and focus assistants a common view of measured and planned positions.

For live production, depth-of-field ramping automatically compensates exposure while the iris changes, allowing a controlled shift between foreground and background without an intended brightness change. SUP 6.2.0 also labels multicamera looks as SDR or HDR and adds a choice between project-rate and recorded-rate playback for high-frame-rate clips.

ARRI documents important limits. Focus-scale overlays do not appear on UHD SDI outputs, dynamic exposure-index metadata may be misread by downstream tools, and mirrored ProRes recording can flicker during depth-of-field ramps. HFR playback can disrupt SDI output or genlock in some states, while 12G-SDI EOTF signalling in SMPTE 352 VPID metadata is incorrect. ARRI advises against updating during an active production, so live users should validate the complete camera, control and post chain before deployment.
