Blackmagic Design has released Camera 10.3 for the URSA Cine 12K LF. The update adds Generation 6 colour science, pre-record and SMPTE ST 2110 video, alongside the DaVinci Resolve colour corrector inside the camera workflow.
The release also introduces a 4.6K Blackmagic RAW crop format, dual LUT operation, four-channel audio recording and SDI camera-control input on SDI B. Support is included for the URSA Cine Mount B4, the matching B4 adapter cable and the URSA Cine Studio Viewfinder.
For live and studio teams, the important change is the combination of native IP video, B4 optics and remote interfaces on a camera designed around high-resolution cinema acquisition. REST API support and expanded lens control create a path for automation and control-room integration without giving up the camera’s large-format recording options.
Blackmagic lists the functions as shipping in the 10.3 update, but it has not published latency, ST 2110 profile, redundancy or interoperability results for a complete live-production chain. Facilities should validate timing, control behaviour, audio mapping and lens compatibility before using the new paths on air.
