TVU Networks and DTV Innovations have announced a technology integration intended to connect professional receiver hardware directly with TVU MediaHub. The partners plan to demonstrate the workflow at SET Expo 2026 with CIS Group.
A dedicated SDK adds TVU ISX protocol support to DTV Innovations decoders at affiliates or remote sites. Incoming signals can then be routed through MediaHub to multiple destinations and output formats. The companies position the design as a route away from satellite-dependent distribution, while retaining purpose-built receiver hardware at the edge.
Technical significance
Satellite replacement is not only a transport decision. Broadcasters need receiver management, path diversity, timing, security and a recovery plan when public connectivity degrades. Native integration between receiver hardware and a cloud routing layer can simplify operations, but it also concentrates control and protocol dependencies in the chosen platform.
