TV Globo is deploying Triveni Digital's GuideBuilder XM, Broadcast Gateway and StreamScope XM systems as part of its work on Brazil's TV 3.0 platform. The initial installation is in Brasilia, with monitoring visibility extending to other cities.
GuideBuilder produces service and signalling information, while Broadcast Gateway provides scheduling and STLTP generation. StreamScope XM is intended to analyse and troubleshoot the resulting services. The vendor connects the deployment to coverage of an upcoming international football tournament but does not name the event.
Why it matters
TV 3.0 combines next-generation terrestrial delivery with internet-linked service capabilities, so signalling and monitoring are as important as the RF layer. This is a concrete broadcaster deployment, but its final market footprint, activation schedule, redundancy design and operational scale have not been disclosed.
