TSL will add Dante router control to its Hummingbird control ecosystem at IBC2026. Used alongside existing NMOS support, the capability is intended to give operators a common control layer across SDI, SMPTE ST 2110, NDI and Dante workflows.
The release also expands compatibility with NDI, Amagi Tally, TSL v5 Server and VDCP-IP. TSL plans a new software application for workflow virtualisation and automation, while its acquisition of JLCooper adds more physical and machine-to-machine interface options. Updated audio monitors and managed power units will be shown in the same workflow context.
Why it matters
Hybrid facilities often accumulate separate control systems for video, audio, tally and legacy playout devices. A protocol-neutral layer can reduce panel sprawl and training, but its value depends on deep, predictable implementation of each protocol rather than a simple connection checklist.
The company has not yet named the new software application or published a complete Dante control matrix. Customers should verify discovery, permission handling, failover, timing and the behaviour of unsupported vendor-specific functions.
