SIRUI showed its Saturn V2 anamorphic primes at IBC2026. The 35mm, 50mm and 75mm lenses cover full frame with a 1.6x squeeze and a T2.9 maximum aperture, continuing the compact positioning of the original Saturn family.
The major change is a rotating, locking lens section that turns the anamorphic orientation by 90 degrees. Operators can therefore configure the same optic for conventional horizontal acquisition or a portrait-oriented deliverable without mounting the entire camera on its side.
SIRUI showed neutral-flare versions in E, RF and L mounts, with Z-mount availability expected later. The concept targets productions delivering both widescreen programmes and vertical social material from closely related camera packages.
The mechanism adds another alignment variable to an anamorphic system. Buyers should test repeatability, mount play, de-squeeze metadata, focus marks and optical performance in both orientations before depending on rapid switching during a shoot.
