Shotoku Broadcast Systems has announced Aura E2, a two-stage PTZ camera elevator that provides more than 1.2 metres of variable-speed vertical travel. The product is intended to give fixed-head PTZ productions some of the height flexibility associated with larger robotic studio pedestals.
The lift can carry a PTZ camera and Shotoku's Aura P2 prompter panner. It mounts on a lightweight three-wheel manual studio dolly, allowing a crew to reposition the complete assembly while retaining remotely controlled elevation during production.
Aura E2 can be moved manually or through recalled shots. Integration with the TR-XPTZ control system allows the lift, PTZ camera and prompter-panning axes to move together, so a repeatable composition can include camera direction, lens state and height rather than relying on a separate operator.
Shotoku will introduce the product at IBC2026. Payload capacity, positional repeatability, movement-noise measurements, safety interlocks, price and shipping date were not included in the announcement and will be central to evaluating it for occupied studios.
