RTL Croatia and PRO PLUS Slovenia have deployed NAGRA technology to protect Formula 1 streaming. The implementation combines NAGRA Venturi with network-level forensic watermarking, monitoring and tracing functions.
NAGRAVISION says the integration was completed in one month with Ateme. Network-level watermark insertion is intended to identify the origin of redistributed streams without requiring a different video encode for every viewer.
For live premium sport, the operational value depends on how quickly monitoring can detect a pirate feed, extract a watermark and connect that identifier to an enforcement action. A fast deployment is useful, but it does not by itself measure that end-to-end response loop.
The announcement does not provide watermark-detection time, false-positive data, subscriber scale or takedown results. It also does not detail privacy controls or how account actions are reviewed before access is restricted.
