France Télévisions has completed the first phase of its Genesys production renewal for Franceinfo, replacing the channel's SDI production environment with SMPTE ST 2110. The new control room went on air on 31 August, while core production technology was placed in a data centre more than 30 kilometres from the operations centre. The facility was built and commissioned in parallel with the existing system to maintain output during the changeover.

Grass Valley supplies the main production and monitoring layer. The installation uses an 80×40 K-Frame system with a Kayenne control surface and four Kaleido-IP X440 multiviewers. K-Frame UltraMatch provides signal processing inside the switching workflow, while the Kaleido-IP environment retains configuration tools familiar to teams coming from Kaleido-X. Red Bee Media France acted as systems integrator.

The important architectural change is the separation of operator positions from the processing core, not simply the replacement of an SDI switcher. Moving the equipment into a remote data centre makes the ST 2110 network the production fabric between control and processing. At the same time, familiar Kayenne and Kaleido operating models reduce the human transition. Grass Valley says the infrastructure is ready for UHD and HDR, although the announcement does not say that Franceinfo is currently producing either format.

The release does not identify the IP spine, PTP design, NMOS implementation, ST 2022-7 protection, network capacity or latency budget. It also leaves resilience between the operations centre and data centre, disaster recovery and later Genesys phases unspecified. The deployment is confirmed as on air, but its availability record and interoperability beyond the named Grass Valley systems have not been independently reported.
