Qvest will demonstrate a multi-vendor Dynamic Media Facility reference implementation at IBC2026. The setup brings orchestration, media processing, audio, monitoring and lifecycle management into one working environment that can run on commodity servers or cloud infrastructure.

Intel Xeon servers with E800-series network interfaces provide compute and ST 2110/RDMA connectivity, while a Netgear M4350 fabric carries uncompressed media and control traffic. Matrox Origin supplies a Kubernetes-native media framework, and Skyline DataMiner xOps coordinates planning, resources and the lifecycle of media functions.

Ross contributes an SRT-to-MXL function; Riedel demonstrates container and MXL replication; TAG monitors MXL, ST 2110, compressed and OTT signals; and Telestream exposes scopes on MXL-linked ST 2110 flows. Telos Minnetonka and Techex add containerised audio and media processing.

The system is more concrete than a diagram and Qvest says customer deployments will follow. It is still a show-floor reference implementation, however. Interoperability limits, failure recovery, deterministic timing under load and the operational division of responsibility between vendors need evidence from sustained production use.
