Pronology is updating StreamFile Core, its web platform for turning live IP inputs into professional files and relay streams. The system can receive NDI, SRT, JPEG XS and SMPTE ST 2110 and encode ProRes, DNx, HEVC and H.264.
A new Shot List player provides DVR-style browsing across multiple angles and creates timecode-accurate subclips. Keyboard controls modelled on professional editing systems are intended to help social and digital teams move from live capture to selected VOD material quickly.
Pronology has also ported StreamFile Core and its mRes encoder to Linux. New grouping and subset controls allow several workgroups to use the same hardware while separating their media and metadata, and the company says security has been strengthened.
The update bridges live IP contribution and file-based post-production without forcing operators through a separate ingest application. Exact security changes, supported Linux distributions, performance per server and release timing were not detailed in the announcement.
