ORF has selected Vizrt technology for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, covering broadcast graphics, augmented reality and 3D presentation. Viz Engine and Viz Virtual Studio are named as core systems in the live production.
The workflow handles on-screen information and scoring data while also contributing to visual elements around the arena show. The project must keep broadcast and venue graphics synchronised through a high-profile multi-show event.
Why it matters
Eurovision is a demanding graphics benchmark because data, branding, live camera moves and arena presentation converge under fixed transmission deadlines. A single graphics ecosystem can reduce duplicated assets and control paths.
What still needs checking
The announcement does not disclose renderer counts, redundancy design, data-validation workflow or the division of responsibility between ORF, creative teams and system integrators.
