Net Insight has introduced Open Live Media, an architecture built from Nimbra Live Intelligence, Nimbra Live and Trust Boundary. The aim is to maintain operational control when a live service crosses an operator’s own network, partner infrastructure, public connectivity and cloud resources.
The platform supports path and link diversity, hitless protection and monitoring across those domains. Transport options include HEVC, JPEG XS and uncompressed SMPTE ST 2110, allowing the protection strategy to span both contribution and production-grade flows.
Nimbra 1020 and 1060 appliances form part of the deployment model, while the management layer presents the service rather than each individual link as the operational object. That can help teams reason about end-to-end resilience instead of treating each segment as an isolated circuit.
The release does not publish pricing, scale limits, recovery measurements or the operational boundary between Net Insight and third-party clouds. Customers should test telemetry continuity, access control and failure handling across every provider used by a real service.
