Zero Density has released OGraf Studio, an open-source browser-based suite for authoring HTML5 broadcast graphics to the EBU OGraf specification. The tool is intended to give designers and developers a common environment for creating portable graphics packages.

The application provides a visual canvas, layers, grouping, guides, responsive layout tools, property animation tracks, easing curves and data bindings. It can preview OGraf Start, Step and End behaviour, validate packages against bundled requirements and export reusable lower thirds, scoreboards, tickers and full-frame graphics.

OGraf’s value depends on graphics moving between compatible renderers and production systems without a vendor-specific remake. An inspectable authoring tool gives broadcasters a practical reference implementation and a place to test package behaviour while the wider OGraf ecosystem develops.

Open source does not by itself guarantee renderer parity. Facilities should compare fonts, timing, browser engines, data update behaviour, alpha handling and failover across every target renderer. Zero Density also exposes optional localhost MCP tools, which should remain permissioned and isolated from live output until their actions are auditable.
