Magewell and Zixi have expanded their integration into an end-to-end live contribution workflow. Magewell Ultra Encode Plus and Ultra Encode AIO devices take HDMI or SDI sources, encode them as H.264 or HEVC and transmit them natively with the Zixi Protocol. Zixi ZEN Master provides provisioning, telemetry and alerts across the encoder fleet.
At the receiving end, second-generation Magewell Pro Convert IP decoders turn Zixi streams back into SDI or HDMI for monitoring, production or playout. Zixi says a US streaming service is using the combination to pull feeds from cloud-hosted Zixi Broadcasters and route them to control-room screens. Operators can select destinations centrally rather than configuring each endpoint in isolation.
The workflow is technically useful because it combines compact field hardware with loss-recovery transport and one management plane across unmanaged or congested networks. Zixi dynamically compensates for packet loss, jitter and latency, while the appliance endpoints preserve familiar baseband interfaces. Protocol support and ZEN Master management are available now on the named product generations. The customer remains unnamed, and neither vendor has published deployment scale, latency measurements or network-loss results for the installation.
