It was the third host-feed use of Lexi in the organisation's 2026 season after World Cup events in Brandenburg and Montreal.
Para-sport classification is essential to understanding competition but difficult to explain quickly during live coverage. Lexi uses concise on-screen graphics to indicate how an athlete's available movement affects performance in the sport. Embedding that explanation in the host feed means rights-holding broadcasters do not have to build separate graphics or interrupt commentary with a lengthy explanation.
The deployment is technically modest compared with a new camera or codec, but editorially significant. A shared accessibility layer can make the world feed more understandable across markets and reduces duplicated production work for broadcasters taking the signal.
