Imagine Communications has introduced Magellan PanelFlex as the next control-surface layer for its Magellan system. Operators can create context-dependent controls and signal labels for individual work positions rather than using one fixed panel layout for every production.
PanelFlex spans web-based and physical interfaces and is intended to make hybrid IP and SDI routing behave like a familiar operational surface. A Canvas design environment lets facilities build the layouts and name sets needed by specific users and programme states.
Imagine is also extending Prometheus monitoring endpoints across its portfolio so engineering teams can expose system data in IT tools such as Grafana. Aviator Orchestrator and the Prismon multiviewer remain part of the broader control and monitoring layer.
The technical significance is the combination of adaptable operator controls with standard observability, a useful foundation for future automation. The release does not disclose panel models, licensing, delivery dates or safeguards governing AI-initiated actions.
