Imagine Communications has expanded its multiviewer portfolio around two complementary systems. Prismon provides software-defined monitoring for distributed, master-control, playout and OTT workflows, while SNP Multiviewer targets ultra-low-latency live production.
Prismon can consolidate ST 2110, ST 2022-6, SDI and OTT sources under a central control environment. Imagine says more than 1,400 picture-in-picture licences have been sold since it acquired the technology with Pixel Power.
Why it matters
Monitoring requirements differ sharply between a production gallery and a cloud playout operation. Keeping both in one portfolio may simplify management while allowing each location to use the latency and scale profile it actually needs.
What still needs checking
The announcement does not provide side-by-side latency, alarm density, cloud cost or a single architecture showing how the two products share layouts and operational state.
