Hollyland has announced the Pyro 7 Ultra as a combined professional monitor and wireless video link. Its seven-inch QD-LCD display is factory calibrated with Calman, and the company specifies a colour error below Delta E 1.5.
The unit can be mounted on a camera and used as a transmitter or carried as a monitor and receiver. Hollyland claims 4K60 transport, 20ms latency, a one-kilometre range and support for an unlimited number of receivers through its TWiFi system.
The company also allows users to recalibrate the display with a dedicated Hollyland colour calibrator. Combining display, radio and power in one device can reduce cabling and battery duplication for roaming camera, focus and client-monitor positions.
The product launch is confirmed, but range and latency are manufacturer figures whose test conditions were not supplied. Codec details, spectrum behaviour, brightness, recording features, pricing and shipping availability were not fully documented in the announcement.
