Hohem has previewed a two-part pocket camera system called Eyepic. The camera module can operate on its three-axis gimbal or detach for wearable and magnetic mounting, allowing the operator to keep monitoring and control on the handle.
For vertical production, the camera physically rotates and records 2160 by 3840 pixels at 60 frames per second rather than cropping a horizontal image. The handle includes a 2.51-inch display and is specified to provide a 1080p preview and control link at distances up to 10 metres.
The camera module is also described as waterproof to 10 metres. Together, those features make the system relevant to social-first field acquisition, behind-the-scenes material and lightweight secondary angles, although it is not positioned as a replacement for a conventional broadcast camera chain.
Eyepic remains a preview. Hohem expects a first-quarter 2027 release, while final sensor details, recording codecs, battery life, wireless latency, pricing and shipping configurations are still open. The company's first-in-category claim has not been independently verified.
