Hiltron Communications has introduced HACUX-IDU2, a 17-inch touchscreen panel for its HCS4 system controller and HACU antenna control unit. The 8RU panel exposes controller parameters without requiring an external keyboard or pointing device.
The HCS4 platform uses plug-in modules for network communication, antenna axes, power, de-icing, 10MHz reference, monitoring, switchover and L-band redundancy. Hiltron is also showing the HMAM-XY motorised mount, which tracks LEO and MEO spacecraft with reflectors up to 2.5 metres and frequencies up to Ka-band.
For broadcast contribution sites, the update concentrates everyday antenna control into a rack interface while retaining specialised outdoor motor and redundancy hardware. The source provides module functions but not screen failover, authentication, remote-access security or measured pointing accuracy for the displayed configuration.
