Facilis has introduced HUB 8.4 with new client-side networking methods for shared production storage. Multi-Socket is designed to drive a single 10GbE or 25GbE connection close to full bandwidth without switch or network-card changes. Multi-Link combines two Ethernet paths into one logical data pipe without requiring NIC teaming or LACP configuration.
The storage release also adds OAuth single sign-on through identity providers such as Entra ID, Okta and Ping. Lockdown Mode hides active file systems from the server operating system, while Smart Access Rules can restrict client write and delete operations. Alias volumes expose selected project folders as desktop volumes whose backing path can be changed by an administrator without changing the user's access point.
FastTracker 3.8.6 receives a redesigned interface, an embedded Avid Media Composer panel and Google AI integration for object, logo, text, signage and speech tagging. Facilis is also showing Thunderbolt 5 connections through ATTO adapters for 64Gb Fibre Channel and 100Gb Ethernet. These changes address both throughput and security in mixed editing facilities, but the vendor has not released reproducible performance tests, security threat models or detailed availability and upgrade information for every component.
