The Alliance for IP Media Solutions has reported that 14 products from eight manufacturers passed its second IPMX certification event. Testing took place from 24 to 28 August at European Broadcasting Union headquarters in Geneva, with the EBU acting as independent certification authority.
The event checked published IPMX transport, control and interoperability requirements. Certified capabilities included uncompressed video and audio, JPEG XS, JPEG XS TDC, Host Key Exchange Protocol for protected-content handling and the Privacy Encryption Protocol.
IPMX extends SMPTE ST 2110 and NMOS concepts into professional AV, live events, education and other markets that also need compressed media, HDCP handling and simplified timing. A formal registry gives integrators a product-level record instead of relying only on vendor statements or one-off plugfests.
All submitted products passed, but certification applies to declared profiles and capabilities rather than every possible multi-vendor workflow. The public reporting does not detail test failures encountered during preparation, performance under congestion or how certified products behave together in large operational systems.
