Bolin has shown the Range, an all-weather PTZ camera that produces 4K video at up to 60 frames per second. Its IP65 enclosure and gyro stabilisation target fixed outdoor positions where wind, weather and mounting vibration complicate remote operation.
The camera can generate an independent 1080p region-of-interest crop from its 4K image. That crop can be framed separately and delivered over SDI or IP while the main 4K output remains available, effectively creating two useful compositions from one sensor position.
A 25x optical zoom supports long-lens coverage. Connections include 12G-SDI, HDMI, USB-C and NDI HX3, giving the unit both baseband and compressed-IP routes into a production system.
The report does not publish sensor size, low-light performance, crop latency, stabilisation range or whether the two outputs can use every interface simultaneously. Outdoor sports deployments will also need wind-load, temperature and remote-maintenance details before replacing staffed camera positions. Matching the crop to the main feed should be tested through the complete production chain.
