Blackmagic Design has released Camera 10.3 with Generation 6 Color Science for the URSA Cine 12K LF. The update changes the camera-to-display transform available to productions using Blackmagic RAW and the company's managed colour pipeline.
DaVinci Resolve 21.1 supports the new generation in post, allowing material to remain within a matching Blackmagic workflow from acquisition through grading and delivery. Blackmagic has also published tutorial material explaining the intended use.
A colour-science update can affect contrast, highlight handling, saturation and camera matching even when the recorded sensor data is unchanged. Productions with an established show LUT or multi-camera package should therefore treat the update as a creative and technical change, not routine maintenance.
The cited coverage does not provide independent chart measurements or an exhaustive comparison with Generation 5. Camera teams should shoot controlled tests, check old projects and verify LUT behaviour before adopting Generation 6 in the middle of a production.
