Antelope Camera Systems will present the Nucleus System as a self-contained high-speed sports capture and replay environment. The architecture combines camera control and storage rather than depending on a broadcaster's main replay server.

The current Nucleus setup captures UHD HDR images at up to 250 frames per second. Antelope says the control server provides as much as 90 minutes of continuous ring-buffer recording for each connected camera, supporting replay selection without interrupting acquisition.

Zoom-Motion software provides digital live zoom, pan and reframing within the recorded high-resolution image. The company is separately developing full-size, box and point-of-view cameras targeting up to 1,000fps in UHD and 2,000fps in HD.

An independent replay path can make specialised high-speed cameras easier to add to an existing production, but integration still depends on timing, control and output compatibility. The faster cameras are roadmap products, and channel density, codecs, latency and commercial availability were not disclosed.
