Netgem will provide the technology, content aggregation and day-to-day operation for VodafoneThree's new UK television and entertainment service. The multi-year agreement places the PLEIO managed platform behind a Vodafone-branded launch planned for October.
The offer combines Freely's IP-delivered public-service channels with major streaming applications, more than 150 additional live channels, Vodafone Box Office and more than 300 cloud games. AI-assisted search and recommendations are intended to span those catalogues rather than remain inside each application.
A compact 4K Android TV box supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, while a companion app carries profiles, recommendations and viewing between the home screen and mobile devices. For broadcasters, the integration is a distribution route that places IP linear channels beside global on-demand services in one operator interface.
The contract and service components are confirmed by Netgem, but subscriber pricing, channel entitlements, advertising architecture and measured service performance have not yet been announced. The launch will provide the first evidence of how consistently discovery and continuity work across all participating services.
