Accedo has completed a modernisation of RecordPlus, the OTT service operated by Record in Brazil. The project covers both the consumer applications and the back-end platform, using a cloud-based stack intended to support multiple device families.
The service spans mobile, web, connected televisions and streaming devices, with third-party systems integrated into the common platform. RecordPlus is reported to serve 17 million users, making continuity and staged migration central concerns alongside new features.
A coordinated front-end and back-end rebuild can reduce duplicated business logic and make feature rollout more consistent across devices. It also concentrates dependencies, so observability, API versioning and graceful fallback become especially important during peak live or on-demand demand.
The announcement does not name the cloud provider, application framework, migration method or service-level objectives. It also gives no before-and-after performance or cost data, so the operational gain cannot yet be quantified independently.
