Veset is introducing an online subscription workflow for Nimbus that lets a channel owner buy, configure and activate a FAST or OTT playout service without a conventional sales and deployment cycle. The company is offering a seven-day trial and card-based sign-up.

Nimbus runs on AWS and supports frame-accurate playlists that combine live and file sources. The listed feature set includes SCTE-35 signalling, graphics, EPG data, subtitles, automated quality control using AWS recognition services and primary-backup channel configurations.

The self-service model is technically relevant because it treats playout as a configurable resource rather than a bespoke infrastructure project. Smaller rights holders and temporary channels may be able to test a workflow quickly, while established broadcasters can use the same model for overflow or proof-of-concept services.

Veset says activation can take hours, but the announcement does not provide measured setup times, pricing tiers, supported input and output formats or SLA details. Broadcast, satellite, cable and terrestrial use may also require additional integration beyond the self-service FAST and OTT path.
