India’s TV9 Network has expanded its relationship with Amagi to cover live-feed management, connected-TV distribution partnerships and monetisation. TV9 is also the first broadcaster in India identified as live on Amagi’s AdFlow Orchestrator.

The system is based on the Placement Opportunity Information Service, or POIS, standard. It is designed to translate long-form broadcast break structures into the shorter, more structured opportunities used by FAST and CTV services. TV9 says relevant filler content can replace blank or repetitive screens when a digital break does not match the source break.

Technical significance

Break reconciliation is a practical fault line between linear origination and streaming distribution. Standardised decision interfaces can reduce platform-specific logic and preserve viewer continuity, but monetisation gains depend on accurate signalling, ad availability and strict timing through every downstream variant.

What to watch

The announcement reports improvements in retention, time spent and monetisation without publishing the underlying measurements. Engineers and commercial teams should examine break-fill accuracy, SCTE signalling, failure behaviour, geographic policy differences and whether POIS integration introduces additional latency.
