Synamedia has outlined two technical updates within a wider shift towards personalisation and operational efficiency. Gravity, its device-management platform, is expanding beyond North America and gaining video-quality monitoring alongside its established home-network controls.

The company also previewed Proximity, a capability that combines the Go, Iris and Senza product lines. It is intended to recognise who is present and adjust recommendations for an individual or family while coordinating advertising between the television and mobile devices.

Synamedia continues to develop Go Shorts, which identifies segments in long-form programmes and reformats them into vertical clips, and says Senza Ignite is now integrated with several set-top boxes and smart televisions. The common direction is to update discovery and interfaces without rebuilding an operator's complete delivery platform.

Gravity's regional expansion and monitoring addition are announced products, while Proximity remains a preview. The company has not detailed identity signals, consent controls, false-recognition handling or supported devices, all of which will be central to privacy, accuracy and deployability.
