Sky has launched Your Multiview, allowing customers to select and watch as many as four live Sky Sports events on one television. The feature is available on Sky Glass, Sky Stream and Sky Q and was introduced for the return of Premier League coverage on 21 August.
Viewers can spotlight one event to alter the layout, choose which feed supplies audio and move any event to full screen. The feature connects with Sky's Sports Hub, which adds live scores, statistics, tables, schedules, clips and routes to other games without leaving the current programme.
Why it matters
Multiview is moving from a broadcaster-curated mosaic to a personalised presentation assembled at the receiver. That changes both the delivery load and the interface problem: multiple synchronised live feeds, metadata and audio choices must remain responsive across different generations of Sky hardware.
Sky has not disclosed the encoding, synchronisation or bandwidth strategy behind the feature. Availability is limited to selected Sky platforms and content, and real-world picture quality will depend on how each device and connection handles four concurrent events.
