Scottish Rugby Union has expanded its managed coach communications partnership with Riedel for a third season. The SidelineComms service covers training and match-day operations and combines coach, staff and referee-audio workflows with managed technical support.
The disclosed deployment contains three Bolero antennas, 21 Bolero S beltpacks with push-to-talk headsets, three standard Bolero beltpacks with Bluetooth pairing for the head coach, and a StageLink Network Stream Adapter. StageLink records intercom and routes referee microphone audio into the in-game communications system.
The design is notable because it treats sideline communications as a managed, tour-ready production service rather than a standalone wireless intercom purchase. Riedel says the package can scale with the team, but the source does not identify RF planning, encryption settings, redundancy or service-level commitments.
