Pliant's CXD-32CF is designed to move intercom audio between CrewCom systems and a facility's IP-audio network. The half-rack interface provides 32 channels in each direction and supports Dante and AES67.
Copper and fibre connections are available, along with redundant network ports. Pliant positions AES67 as the standards-based path into plants that are also adopting SMPTE ST 2110, allowing production communication to share an IP environment without making the intercom system depend on a single proprietary transport.
The interface can connect both CrewCom Wireless and CrewCom Flex installations. CrewWare 2.0 accompanies the hardware with configuration and management updates, making the link part of a managed intercom system rather than an unmanaged audio converter.
Pliant has not published final pricing, shipment timing, sample-rate limits, measured latency or detailed cross-vendor interoperability results. Those points should be checked for tightly timed live-production and redundant-network designs.
