Oracle has detailed a set of IBC2026 demonstrations for Oracle Video Edge, coordinating Media over QUIC relays across infrastructure owned by different ISPs, CDNs and technology providers. The work moves beyond testing individual transport components toward a federated delivery architecture.
One demonstration links an Oracle Video Edge origin relay to Broadpeak MoQ edge relays inside BT and Bouygues Telecom networks. A second combines relay capacity across Netskrt, Cloudflare and MainStreaming. The common objective is to let independently operated networks contribute capacity while presenting a coordinated path to the player.
Uplynk will show how established packaging and monetisation workflows can feed the relay layer, while Akta will combine AI-assisted search and highlights with SRT contribution and MoQ delivery. Playback uses Oracle's SDK and a Shaka browser player, with Bitmovin demonstrating a commercial-player integration.
The demonstrations show federation across organisational boundaries, but they are not yet evidence of a generally available, automatically resilient service. Oracle says coordinated routing, telemetry and failover are the next problems to address. Published latency, scale, commercial terms and production incident data remain open.
