Lithuanian broadcaster LNK Group has moved playout and media management for LNK, BTV, TV1, InfoTV and 2TV to Grass Valley AMPP. Playout X and Framelight X run on AMPP Local at the Vilnius facility as the broadcaster also transitions its wider signal environment to SMPTE ST 2110.
Redundant playout chains support live inputs, secondary recording, HTML5 graphics, advanced audio and SCTE signalling. LNK and BTV can also take SRT contribution feeds, while Framelight X provides logging, editing, record scheduling, review and access to an archive of about 150,000 assets.
The primary deployment uses shared on-premises compute instead of one appliance per function. A separate AMPP environment on AWS, backed by Wasabi storage for high-resolution and proxy media, provides disaster recovery, and Hannu Pro integrated the existing Telestream DIVA archive and Vantage workflows.
The deployment confirms a practical hybrid architecture, but published coverage does not provide channel failover times, recovery objectives or measured ST 2110 interoperability results. Those details will determine how transparently the cloud system can take over during a facility outage.
