Green-GO has introduced Wireless Beltpack X 5G, extending its production-intercom architecture beyond local wired and DECT coverage. The beltpack is designed to operate over both public and private 4G and 5G networks.
The company lists support for standalone and non-standalone 5G as well as network slicing where an operator makes it available. A Bridge X component connects cellular users back into wired or DECT Green-GO systems, allowing remote crew positions to join an established talk group rather than creating a separate communication island.
The approach could be useful for sports courses, news field teams and large venues where dedicated RF coverage is difficult. Its production value will depend on controlled latency, consistent uplink behaviour and predictable handover as a user moves between cells.
Green-GO has not published end-to-end latency, codec, battery-life or congestion results. Availability and pricing also remain to be confirmed, and performance on public networks will depend on local coverage and operator policy.
