DVEO has updated its Premio encoder and D-Streamer decoder around Linux and browser-based control. Premio's web interface covers configuration and monitoring that previously depended on a Windows application. The encoder can also create multiple outputs from one channel, allowing one source to reach several destinations without another appliance.
D-Streamer receives the same operating-system and control change. Its new output mode can produce SDI and UDP at the same time from a single decoded channel, feeding a local baseband destination and an IP distribution path in parallel. DVEO says both changes came from requests by broadcasters already operating the products.
The technical significance is removal of a dedicated management workstation and better use of each channel. A browser interface can simplify access across mixed operating environments, while dual baseband and IP output helps facilities bridge legacy and packet-based infrastructure during migration. The Linux platform may also reduce the maintenance surface associated with a desktop Windows application. DVEO plans to demonstrate the products at IBC2026, but has not detailed upgrade eligibility, security architecture, supported codecs, availability dates or pricing.
