Clear-Com has introduced Avalon IP Station, a 1RU rackmount intercom endpoint for control rooms, machine rooms and distributed facilities. The unit is designed to connect several Clear-Com communication families through an IP-based station.
Named compatibility includes FreeSpeak, HelixNet, V-Series and I.V. Direct. Licensed port expansion allows the station to grow with a deployment rather than requiring the highest capacity at purchase.
Why it matters
A dense rack endpoint is useful where operators need access to several communication domains without adding multiple panels and interfaces. Software-scaled ports can also simplify staged facility expansion.
What still needs checking
The practical value depends on the exact license package, audio path count, redundancy, panel workflow and interoperability with installed system versions.
