Beamr is demonstrating a live enhancement and compression pipeline built on NVIDIA Holoscan for Media. NVIDIA Video Super Resolution first upscales or restores an HD source, after which Beamr's content-adaptive bitrate engine encodes the result for distribution.

The complete path runs on RTX PRO GPUs and can be deployed in cloud or on-premises infrastructure. Beamr says its CABR optimisation can reduce the size of some streams by up to 50 percent while maintaining the selected visual-quality level.

Putting enhancement and encoding on the same accelerated platform is technically useful because the additional pixels created by super resolution do not need to leave the processing node before compression. Operators could apply the workflow to legacy HD libraries, contribution feeds or live channels where UHD acquisition is unavailable.

The reduction figure is a company claim and will vary with content, codec, target quality and source condition. The release does not provide end-to-end latency, channel density per GPU, power use, pricing or independent visual-quality results, and those values are essential for live deployment.
