Broadcasting Center Europe is integrating Alpha Networks' Gecko OTT platform into its media-services portfolio. The companies say deployment is under way for an OTT service, moving the announcement beyond a stand demonstration even though the end customer has not been named.

Gecko is modular and multi-tenant. Each service can retain its own branding, configuration, content catalogue, user base, rights rules and operational workflows while BCE runs them on a common platform.

For a managed-services provider, that separation is central: it offers a route to reuse infrastructure and operations without mixing customer entitlements or business logic. A modular design can also allow services to add functions without replacing the complete front and back end.

The announcement does not identify the operator, launch date, subscriber scale, hosting topology, performance targets or commercial terms. It confirms selection and active deployment, but not production acceptance or audience-level results.
