Aqua Broadcast is extending its Cobalt platform with the CP-8000 and CP-10000 high-power FM transmitters. The 10kW model can use up to five hot-pluggable 2.2kW RF power modules, while the 8kW version is built on the same architecture.
Fans, power supplies and RF amplifiers are designed for replacement without taking the complete transmitter off air. The CP-10000 includes a Cobalt C-30 exciter and can be configured with a second exciter, supporting the redundancy expectations of continuous 24/7 radio operations.
Standard functions include real-time RF and modulation analysis, four-band audio processing, Dynamic RDS, single-frequency-network capability, scheduled actions, GPIO and automated audio failover. Remote operation uses HTTPS and SNMP v1, v2 or v3, with firmware updates, notifications and audio monitoring available over the network.
The specifications are detailed enough to establish the intended operating model, but field efficiency, thermal performance, redundancy switching time and regulatory configurations still need verification. Pricing and shipment dates were not included in the published preview.
