AI-Media will present an expanded LEXI Suite at IBC2026, bringing captioning, translation, multilingual voice, audio description and recorded-content localisation into one platform. The company is also introducing two dedicated appliances and broader programmatic access for integration into professional broadcast chains.
The LEXI Text Encoder and LEXI Voice Encoder support SDI, IP and SMPTE ST 2110 workflows. They are intended to provide the processing and interfaces needed to add AI-generated captions, translated text and multilingual voice to existing facilities without forcing an immediate migration to a single delivery architecture.
LEXI Direct exposes the language services to third-party platforms and applications. AI-Media says EU-based data processing is planned for January 2027, addressing data-residency requirements. A separate LEXI Link proof of concept sends captions, translations and generated audio directly to viewer devices, potentially allowing one live programme to support personalised accessibility choices.
The shipped suite and encoder capabilities are official, while LEXI Link remains a proof of concept and the European processing date is a plan rather than a completed service. Accuracy by language, end-to-end voice latency, pricing and the rights framework for synthetic voices were not detailed in the announcement.
