Venera Technologies has introduced Qompli for automated content-sensitivity and compliance review. The initial release detects smoking, alcohol and nudity, with violence, gore, sexual content and drugs planned for later versions.
Each detection is presented with a frame location and object coordinates. Through Venera's QCtudio environment, reviewers can accept or reject the flag and consider treatments including warnings, redaction, blurring, masking and audio beeps.
Approved changes can produce a corrected media file or an edit decision list for another editing system. Venera says its own models power the analysis and that Qompli can run in cloud, on-premises or hybrid deployments.
The important distinction is that detection and correction are joined without removing the operator from the final decision. Accuracy, false-positive rates and correction quality have not been independently reported, and several sensitivity categories remain future work.
