Adobe has added an AI Assistant to the After Effects beta. The assistant is intended to act inside the application rather than as a separate chatbot, helping users navigate projects and complete selected production tasks through natural-language instructions.
Published examples include organising project elements and writing or fixing expressions. Those capabilities target time-consuming structural work as well as the scripting-like logic that drives many reusable motion-graphics templates.
The beta can also generate images and video as part of an After Effects workflow. That places generative creation alongside compositing, animation and project management, although the exact model, credit and provenance rules depend on the beta implementation.
Because this is beta software, facilities should not assume feature stability or output consistency. They should check what project data is transmitted, how changes are logged or reversed, and whether generated assets meet rights, disclosure and client-policy requirements.
