TVU Networks has launched TVU One IP, a transmitter for teams that complete a production in NDI or another compatible IP environment before contribution. It can also accept a UVC-compatible USB camera for a compact single-camera setup.
The unit uses TVU's ISX bonding technology to combine cellular, Wi-Fi, wired internet and satellite connectivity. The design targets sports, regional broadcasters and lean productions that want to send a finished programme without adding an SDI handoff, traditional camera runs or a remote truck.
TVU also announced Cortex, a visual layer over its MediaMesh platform. News teams can browse live and recorded assets, group material by subject or geography, build topic shelves, set alerts and review assignments before pulling a source into a workflow.
TVU has not disclosed source-count limits, supported NDI variants, encoding profiles, latency or failover measurements for One IP. Cortex search accuracy, access control, MAM interoperability and pricing also need evaluation in a real newsroom.
