Chyron has introduced LUCI control panels in CAMIO 5.6. The panels mirror the layout and behaviour of PRIME graphics templates inside a newsroom rundown, giving journalists access to controls that better match the graphic they are editing.
The integration carries dependent fields and scripts into the editorial workflow, so changing one value can reveal, hide or recalculate other controls. That is intended to preserve template logic without requiring the journalist to open a separate graphics application.
Chyron also reports up to 60 percent faster rundown-to-playout updates and has added Grafana-based red, amber and green monitoring. AXIS 4 asset creation is part of the release, extending the connected workflow beyond lower-thirds and other templated scenes.
The announcement does not describe the test setup behind the performance figure or list supported newsroom systems and PRIME versions. Facilities should validate existing templates, scripts, MOS traffic and failover behaviour before a newsroom-wide upgrade.
