Telestream is integrating NVIDIA's Video Effects SDK into Vantage to create a Super Resolution processing option. The company will preview the capability at IBC2026 and plans to release it in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The workflow is aimed at large SD and early-HD archives that need to be repackaged for HD, 4K or UHD distribution. Rather than moving files through a standalone enhancement tool, operators will be able to include upscaling as a Vantage transcoder step alongside QC, packaging and delivery.
Telestream positions the technology for classic sports, news, documentary and library programming, including FAST channels and UHD services. Integration with workflow automation is the important change: enhancement decisions can be applied consistently across high-volume jobs.
The source confirms the planned integration but does not provide independent picture-quality tests, processing speeds or GPU requirements. Output quality will vary with source condition, compression artefacts and the expectations of each destination.
